Collecting foils from medication

Superdrug are recycling the foils from all types of medication and the Club has been collecting for the last six months.

Eye Care in Bangladesh

Along with the Rotary Club of Dhaka club member Rtn Dr Graham Authurs helped to setup a number of eyes care units in Bangladesh to undertake Cataract Surgery

Bangladesh - support for breast cancer screening

Rtn Graham Arthurs along with the Rotary Club of Dhaka spearheaded a trial program in Bangladesh to set up a breast cancer screening facility .

Hospital Gardens

Since 2003 members of the Rotary club have cared for the two Courtyard gardens in the Shooting Star Unit at the Wrexham Maelor Hospital. Recent replanting has helped to keep the gardens is top condition for the pleasure of the patients in the unit .

VICTORIA SCHOOL IN SPRING 2018

Coop Garden at Victoria School in Spring 2018. Rotn Alun Morgan in discussion with Head Teacher Debbie Eccles and the infants Teacher. The Coop award of £2000 last year aided the school to create an outside enclosed garden for the younger children.

Vocational Visit to RAF Cosford

Tour Includes National Cold War Exhibition,War in theAir, Transport and Test Flight Collection plus the Hangars with the oldest surviving Spitfire. Tour lasts 5 hrs + Lunch Break.

BRAS FOR AFRICA

Erddig is supporting the Campaign to send Redundant Bras To be recycled for use in Africa.

Annual Duck Race

Annual Duck Race took place at Eagles Meadow Wrexham. A lot of fun was had by all including the Duck and the children. A sum of £245.10 was raised for local charities. Thanks to all who helped and the families who took part.

Social Evening at Kenyon Hall

An evening of entertainment for Rotarians, partners and friends with Chris Bannister singing John Denver favourites took place at the Kenyon Hall, Holt. Well attended and enjoyed by all.Over£700 was raised for Young Generation funds.

An Evening with Aggers

An evening with Jonathan Agnew, cricket commentator, at the Bamford Suite.About 120 attended.A very enjoyable evening which raised over £1100 for Nightingale House Hospice in memory of Rotarian Chris Jones who sadly passed away recently.

Father Christmas Float

Father Christmas's Float will be touring the area accompanied by Rotarians and other helpers.

MUSIC for CHRISTMAS CHARITY CONCERT

The young choir of Ysgol Deiniol C P, Marchwiel and Choir and Band of the Yale College, Wrexham. Mulled wine and mince pies. Christmas Message and carol singing with the Rev Marcus Wyn Robinson. Tickets £7.50.
