 He applied for a Rotary Peace Scholarship after seeing children receiving the polio vaccine and finding out about Rotary. Thank you Shakeel for your story it was very inspirational.

Amazing presentation from Rotary Peace Fellow Shakeel Ahmed. He was brought up in Killa Abdullah in the province of Balochistan is one of the poorest areas of Pakistan and a buffer zone to Afghanistan and Iran..
Their mission at Shape-UK is to provide resources, mentoring, guidance in education, skills, and careers to young people not in education, employment or training (NEET) and with the Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic and Refugee Community (BAMER).

Nassrat (Nas) has recently been inducted into our Rotary Club. He talked about his background and the Charity Shape-UK of which he is the Founder and Chair.
They work with people in prison and on release help them adjust, equip them skills needed to get a job, a roof over their head and lead a productive life.  They use a holistic approach to working with their clients, all of which is free.

Mike Clifton who came to tell us about the St Giles Trust. Mike works on the Rise to Thrive programme and with a number of partner organisations supports people to get into work.
