District Rotary Young photographer of the Year 2016.

This year 2016, Kirkham Rotary club were responsible for judging the photographic entries from District 1190 which comprises the counties of Cumbria and Lancashire.  It was a very hard task indeed with many excellent entries showing good use of composition, lighting and interpretation of brief. However, there has to be a winner.

There were three categories being judged: Junior, Intermediate and Senior.

Here are the winners.

"I love Robins because they remind me of my Grandads. Some say they are the spirits of those who have passed away. Their red breasts make me feel happy and cheers me up in the cold weather. This one was so busy, I felt very lucky to catch him."

Senior District 1190 Winner 2016

"This was taken at 8am in my local park. I was walking my dog and noticed how good the conditions were so I went home for my camera. If I had got up half an hour later I would have missed the opportunity to photogrpah this unusual misty scene."
