Team Leader - Angela [Angie] Biggs

Angela (Angie) Biggs is a retired secondary school English teacher. She has been a member of the Rotary Club of Kendal for five years, particularly involved in the New Generations Committee. She is a widow with two adult sons, Andrew and Robert, and five grandchildren, aged between eight and twenty-one. Since retiring she has been involved in various types of voluntary work, including the local Talking Newspaper for blind people and acting as a governor at a school for children with special educational needs. She helps with a special meals service for the elderly, as well as being involved in organising Rotary youth activities. Angie enjoys walking, especially in the hills of the Lake District. Gardening is another of her pleasures, along with visiting gardens. She has travelled to many countries, visiting India twice, the first time many years ago, travelling widely in the north, then on a shorter trip to famous monuments, such as Amber Palace, Fatehpur Sikri and the Taj Mahal. She is a lover of France and the French language, and feels sad if she doesn
