Rotary Schools Art Competition

Exhibition held April 22nd 2023

On Saturday April 22nd, the PR Rotary Club held an exhibition of the art contributed by local schools in the area, a welcome return of the competition which has not taken place since 2019.

Eight local primary and junior schools took part, submitting over 60 entries, which were judged in March by Pam Bowell and Addy Henderson from sponsors The Arts Society of West Wycombe, and Gwen Miles, wife of Rotarian Peter Miles.

The exhibition was the culmination of months of work led by Rotarians Trevor Fitch, Dennis Phillips and Keith Rosling and over 170 people attended the exhibition, held in St Mary's church hall in Princes Risborough

Several parents and contributing children attended, as did many members of the public, who were 'persuaded' by Richard Stevenson to take a look, in order to proceed down Church Street.

Refreshments during the day were provided by Jeanette Rosling, Diana Summers and Jackie Foster, all long-suffering Rotary wives.  Additional sponsorship and materials were provided by Art and Office.
