96th Charter Night

Join us for our annual birthday party in the splendid setting of Vale Royal Abbey, Whitegate.


After a three course dinner our guest speaker, Dr Kevin Grady will be talking about his varied career.  Dr Grady is an Economic Historian and currently Chairman of Leeds Library.  For 30 years he was the Director of Leeds Civic Trust and is an accomplished author.  His talents don't stop there, he was a Tax Inspector and also a conjuror appearing under the name of Dr Marvello.

Starters

Homemade vegetable soup served with crusty bread

 

Chicken liver pate, baby leaf salad, fruit chutney and warm toast croutes 

 

Main Courses

 

Chicken coq au vin in a rich thyme gravy with baby onions, bacon, button mushrooms, carrots, 

green beans and boulangere potato 

 

Roasted hake fillet with new potatoes, green beans, roasted plum tomato, 

wilted rocket leaf and a  fresh tomato sauce

 

French brie and spinach puff pastry parcel, tomato salsa and dressed shoots 

 

served with a compliment of seasonal vegetables and potatoes

 

Desserts

 

Glazed lemon tart in a rich short crust pastry and served with cream

 

Strawberries marinated in Cointreau in a brandy snap basket

Purple 4 Polio Crocuses planted by Rotarians in the centre of Northwich

We do loads - events and supporting the community throughout the year. We also liaise and participate with Northwich Town Council, Northwich BID, Canal and River Trust and Cheshire West and Chester Council and many more.

The Friendship Cafe is a chance for people with dementia and their carers to socialise together in a welcoming environment. We meet monthly the third Wednesday in each month 2pm at the Methodist Church in Witton Street.

Day one of the Subnational Immunization Days in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India, a weeklong campaign to vaccinate children against polio. Rotarians, Rotaractors, health workers, and other volunteers set up and operate more than 1,500 immunization
