Yet another superb celebration of the life of our national Bard, Robbie Burns, was enjoyed by our members and many guests at The County Hotel, last night.

The customary recitations, toasts, and songs were delivered brilliantly by Alistair Patullo, Judith Thomson, Paul Tomlinson, Irene Strafford, Tommy Knox and Jimmy Gibb.

Our piper for the evening was Jack Houston who was to his usual high standard, but the star of the show was undoubtedly Craig Douglas, whose recital of Tam O' Shanter was world class.

Craig started to recite Burns in 1997 when he was a member of the St Andrews Society in Quatar and is now undoubtedly a serious contender for the up and coming Tam O' Shanter world championships - we wish him well.
