Club Service and Membership Programme 2016/17

Our club service committee tells people about the club, supports new members and helps with the running of the club.

Goals:

  • Raise awareness of the work done by Rotary in the local community and internationally.

  • Increase the membership of the club.

  • Improve mentoring of new members

Activities:

  • Greater publicity through social media and the local press.  This will include the distribution of the Rotary magazine and Forres Rotary leaflet within the local area.

  • Raising awareness of how Rotary has changed in the last 65 years through an article in the local press and a possible display in a venue in Forres.

  • Making people aware of the different types of membership available e.g. Associate Membership and Corporate Membership.

  • To provide a formal mentoring programme for new members.  To ensure that new members feel welcome and have a role.

  • To allow for people who are unwilling or unable to attend a weekly meeting at lunchtime, we will arrange a monthly evening meeting (probably after a Council meeting), to update members in a less formal setting.

  • Formalise and increase the number of friends of Rotary we can count on for help with events.

  • Support the club through management of speaker list, club inventory etc.
