See below on the detail for status update in June 2016
On Wednesday 2
nd March 2016 Bill Kirk – Chairman of the Nanyuki Childrens’ Trust in Kenya and his wife Carolyn – Secretary gave a very informative talk and power point presentation updating the club on the present project i.e. a water tower to provide showers for the mentally and physically disabled children. Bill outlined the financial situation and Carolyn told of the plight of very young pregnant women and enthusiastically explained how a car wash is helping to keep the street boys in work and earning an income. We are proud to have been associated with this school in Nanyuki for many years now, and have been able to help support some of their previous projects.
We were pleased to be able to present a donation of £1500 to assist with a solar heating project for hot water – a big enhancement for the environment there.
President John, International Chair Gill, with Bill and his fellow trustee and wife.
