Peter Davis Early Days

Closure of his long-established electrical business gave Peter as a founder member of the Club a welcome opportunity to share some of his reminiscences as a Stroudie, brought up in Chalford.

From his first job in the 1940's with an electrical contractor he found himself drawn into acquiring a lifelong commitment and skill in the electrical trade, albeit initially the hard way with various demanding employers.

He reflected with many anecdotes upon the insights of worldly wisdom and human behaviour from his dealings with customers, employers and indeed his own staff as he developed his own business. So much so that there would have to be at least one further opportunity to hear of his developing life in the Valleys and the achievements of his family.

Thus we look forward to his taking the story beyond his National Service in the RAF, through his club presidencies in 1986 and 1998 and his many unsung contributions to club activities and projects.
