Andy Carter is a real dream maker; he makes people’s dreams come true by personally visiting big National Lottery winners to confirm their win.Andy who is from Dursley, works for Camelot, the company that runs the National Lottery.
Andy’s other main role is to help put in the first practical measures of managing the winners’ new financial wealth and how to handle the media if they choose to go public. This support is ongoing as long as needs be and Camelot is committed to ensuring that these life changing experience dreams don’t become nightmares.
Andy
confirmed the highest lottery win of £161m by the Weirs in Scotland who have
gone on to set up a range of charities using their unexpected wealth to the
benefit of others. Andy told us that the
big winners often become champions of charitable causes which is often overlooked
by critics of Lottery winners.The
National Lottery distributes £33m every week and has helped to transform the
fortunes of local communities as well as big national projects around the UK.
