That was the question oil expert Rotarian Joe Green was set to answer on the 15th April 2015, which he did with excellent illustrations and clear explanations of every step of the process of Fracking.
We learnt how the drilling was carried out and how the extraction was made and where it might be profitable in the country, which is over a considerable area of . To such an extent that it might be possible to be nearly self sufficient in oil and gas, and be cleaner than coal gas.
The surprise feature was how important Stonehouse was to the oil industry, for it here that the Diamond headed drills are made, so essential to the process and yet is surprising that we are in an area with the very least prospect Fracking ever to take place!
It was a pleasure to hear an expert explain a subject in such a way that the layman could understand, an outstanding and informative presentation.
