Born in Gloucester, Ivor's life started in great hope with people recognising both his musical and poetic brilliance all evident at the time he was at the Royal College of Music and as a soldier in WW1.
However, for the last fifteen years of his life, he spent incarcerated in a mental hospital. His story was to end in sadness
