5th Tuesday social event – Walk / pub visit

Tue, Apr 29th 2014 at 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

The evening will start at 6pm in the Eynsham Back Lane car park.

For walkers, the evening will start at 6pm in the Eynsham Back Lane car park. If you don't want to walk, drive straight to the pub at 8pm!

The walk will follow a route of lanes / rights of way paths to Stanton Harcourt (Harcourt Arms) via Chilbridge, Twelve Acre Farm, minor lanes near South Leigh and Tar Wood - distance just under 5 miles (approx 8 km) mainly flat / 2 to 2 1/4 hours walking time. Points of interest will be seen along the route including a World War 2 defence ruin, a nesting location for Buzzards and a Badgers set (may have to pop back around midnight to see any signs of life in the set!)

Food can be available at the pub (buffet or individual orders etc).

There will be an arrangement for cars to be dropped off at the pub car park for the return trip to Eynsham if required. (There may be enough spaces in cars of non walkers).

The event is open to partners and friends.
