And the WINNERS are:
Intermediate Category winner and overall West Berkshire Young Photographer 2016 is Zahra Hall (14yrs) and a student at Kennet School.
Senior Category winner is Emili Deacon ((17yrs) and also a student at Kennet School.
Merits were also awarded to Milos Gosney (14), Yu Hang Yeung (17), Isabel Pagliaroli (17) and Hayley Short (17).
The competition was judged by Paul Sievers MRPS, Llewellyn Robins MRPS and Adam Hillier, all highly regarded and accredited local photographers.

An exhibition of all the entries will be held at the West Berkshire Museum between April and July 2016. (final dates TBA)

Portfolio: 3 different prints (A4 max) of each individual's interpretation of the theme

Prizes are awarded to the winner in each age group.
The West Berkshire Young Photographer Trophy is awarded to the overall winner.
Winners of each age group are entered into the regional Rotary District Competition.
District winners are entered into the Rotary National Competition.
The Newbury Weekly News "Best Photo" award will be given to the young photographer who's individual photo obtains the most public votes from visitors to the "Our World is Beautiful" exhibition at the West Berks Museum.
The West Berkshire Competition is organised and run by Newbury Rotary Club.
