The Winning Team, St Barnabas Church A

For the 15th time, the Rotary Club of Leighton Linslade contrived to test the brain cells of the people of the area with their popular Brain of Leighton Quiz on March 6th at the Raven Theatre in Cedar’s school. There were a wide range of questions including questions on general knowledge, sport, history & some on music amongst the categories.

The honour of being awarded the ‘Stuart Fletcher’ cup was St Barnabas Church A team, who scored 121 points. In second place were Gary Baldy & chums, who collected the Best Club award. The Best Business award went to Sacred School with 117 points. The Stuart Fletcher cup was presented to the winning team by Shirley Fletcher, widow of Stuart, the Club member after whom the cup was named.

The evening was made even more enjoyable with the knowledge that the event raised over £2,000 for charity with proceeds from the raffle & tombola going to the Chiltern MS Centre & Prostate Cancer support.

The next fund-raising event for the Club is the ever-popular May Day Fayre on May 1st
