This year’s Christmas collection was a hugely successful event raising thousands of pounds for local charities. However this year’s expanded collection area meant that the Rotary Club needed extra support. One of the groups that offered their services was the Thurrock Sea Cadets ‘t/s Dragon’ who turned out helping to increase the money collected. As a token of appreciation the Rotary club have given the Sea Cadets a donation which the cadets said would be added to a fund raising activity which is currently underway for a new changing room which they need to comply with Royal Yacht Association requirements. Anyone who wishes to contact the Rotary Club can look at http://www.graysthurrockrotary.org.uk/ or email admin@rotaryclubofgraysthurrock.co.uk.
