Oswestry Christmas Parade

Saturday 7th December 2024

The year is flying by and it’s time to start thinking about Christmas again and, this starts with the Oswestry Christmas Parade.  It is a large popular event for Oswestry, which many people look forward to.  We hope you will support this event by entering a float into the Parade.

Judging of the vehicular floats will take place at 10.00am at the New Smithfield Cattle Market, and the walking floats in Victoria Road just before the Parade starts.  The procession is scheduled to commence at 11.00am from Victoria Road/Lower Brook Street, below the traffic lights gathering by the Co-Op.

It’s important to stress that the only collections on the day must be made in authorised red Rotary collection buckets. These will be managed by Borderland Rotary Club.

If you are able to enter a float or display, we would remind you that all entries must be safe, be subjected to a risk assessment and be covered by public liability insurance, this is to ensure the safety of all concerned.  In addition, it is vital that your vehicle is properly insured and legal for the purpose on parade day, as we can accept no responsibility for any damage or injury to either you or the transport you use.

We look forward to receiving your support by entering the procession, or in any other way you may wish to help make the event a special one for all those who come to the town to watch and enjoy it.  Please submit your Entry Form to the Procession Co-ordinator soon as possible so we know how many will be taking part.
