Sexual Abuse & Sexual Violence Week

Mon, Feb 2nd 2026 at 7:23 am- Sun, Feb 8th 2026 - 11:59 pm

Nearly 1 in 3 women globally have faced partner or sexual violence during their lifetime, that’s 840 million women and girls. UNICEF estimates between 410 and 530 boys and men experienced sexual violence in childhood.

Rotary GB&I’s Domestic Abuse & Violence Against the Person team encourage Rotarians to raise awareness of sexual abuse and violence and find out what is happening in your local area and how you can get involved. There is an opportunity to do so right now:

Sexual Abuse & Sexual Violence Awareness Week, 2nd – 8th February 2026 - the UK’s national week to raise awareness and to provide an opportunity for any organisation or individual to engage in dialogue.
