Rotary Holidays for Children Trust

The trust is a partnership between five Rotary districts to fund days out and inspire a brighter future for young people

In 2025/26 , RHCT supported seven of the clubs in D1100 to give children an unforgetable experience.

2 of these clubs benefitted for the first time.

All of the allowable £3,000 was allocated to the causes.

And a total of 322 children benefitted.

During the year, the fund increased by over £40,000 to help cover applications for future years.

The ideas varied as follows:

Two clubs sent local children in the Bristol area to the Barton Camp for mini outward bound experiences.

·       A community party was planned around Hallowe'en.

·       A fabulous train ride was run for the second year within the Forest of Dean.

·       A significant contribution was made to take twenty children to the seaside in Devon.

·       Another supported two children with a trip to Weston.

·       Many clubs before have used the grant to take local primary schools to the panto at Xmas.

·       I ambitious club in the Midlands, paid for Cubs/Scouts to go to an International Camp in Belgium.

·       And another ran a Teddy Bear picnic with five Rotary Clubs combining to run the event.

So, applications are now open for the 2026/27 Rotary Year.
