Humanitarian Services

The Rotary GB&I Humanitarian Service Team improves the quality, sustainability & impact of their humanitarian service projects at home & overseas. Rotary works closely with communities to meet needs & build resilience for tomorrow's challenges.

Three unifying themes reflect the breadth of Rotarians' service projects and activities across GB&I, aligned with Rotary's Avenues of Service and Areas of Focus. They provide a clear and accessible framework to help the public and partners to understand Rotary's impact locally and globally. The unifying themes are:

  • Future Generations
  • Health and Wellbeing
  • Rebuilding Lives, Rebuilding Communities

Each Rotary GB&I theme has three teams focused on service areas common across GB&I. These teams offer support, signposting and opportunities to share, strengthen and scale service initiatives:

Future Generations

Environmental projects
Rotary Children’s Fun Day
Rotary opportunities for young people

Health and Wellbeing

Domestic abuse and violence against the person
Mental health and well-being
Winter activities

Rebuilding Lives, Rebuilding Communities

Disaster response and resilience
Recovery
Social and community cohesion
