The Quiz Night went well, and gave over 60 quizzers an enjoyable evening, with good food, courtesy of Lutterworth Golf Club, and with question rounds from five different setters.
The event raised £705 for charity, which will go towards purchasing a Shelter Box, an international charity that works with disaster-affected communities to provide the emergency shelter, essential items and training needed to support families in the long process of rebuilding their lives, and other Rotary Charities.
In total, eleven teams battled over 10 round which included two table rounds, a total possible of 130 points including the joker, and the winners, Saga Louts scored 111, and won a bottle of wine each.
The wooden spoon and a chocolate orange each went to Inner Wheel II.( who only had 4 members).
back The purpose of the Fund Raising Committee is to identify and organise local events, both to be seen in the local community, and raise the necessary funds required to support our chosen charities and our community service projects
