A Role in Rotary for Everyone

Rotarians are Everywhere
Rotarians are Everywhere

With You We Can Accomplish Even More

We are volunteers working to benefit our local and international communities, but with you we can accomplish even more.

Volunteering Opportunities

Do you want to "give something back" to your local community, but don't want to become a Rotarian? That's OK, there are many volunteering opportunities that you can undertake.

We regularly volunteer to provide service work within the local community. Maybe you'd like to volunteer too by helping at various events including:

  • Helping children to read better
  • Collecting for a charity for a couple of hours
  • Marshalling at community events
  • Supporting The Environment - Tree planting, recycling or litter picking within the local community

There's always something for you to become involved in Rotary.

Associate Membership

If you feel unable to commit to regular attendance at club meetings then this form of membership is ideal for you.  Associate Membership allows you to become acquainted with a Rotary Club ( including its members, its programmes & projects, and the expectations of club membership) before becoming an active member within a designated period of time.

Associate Members are not entitled to hold any club officer position but you will be encouraged to work with club committees and become involved in service projects.

Associate Members pay subscriptions to the club, but not to Rotary International.

Corporate Membership

An organisation or company in a club’s area can become a member of the Rotary club, through an established membership approval process, and to appoint up to four designees as the individuals attending club meetings, serving on projects, voting on club matters, serving as club officers and on club committees. Many Corporate Members will pay for their designees in relation to their Rotary subscriptions.

Being a part of the Rotary network presents a wide variety of benefits to businesses who are looking to get involved.

  • Opportunity to be associated with the Rotary brand and its longstanding reputation

  • Businesses can put their Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) plans into action

  • Employees can engage in volunteering through service projects

  • Employees access learning opportunities, skills sharing and leadership development

  • Gain access to the wider Rotary network regionally, nationally and internationally including The Rotary Foundation, Action Groups, Fellowships and more.

  • Showing a social conscience can make them an employer of choice

  • Networking with other corporate membership to develop professional connections, partnerships or customer relationships

  • Principle and Alternate membership model gives multi-employee access for the price of one membership

Full Active Membership

Club Membership

As an active member of a club, you will pay club dues and be expected to attend regular meetings and become fully engaged in giving service to communities; both locally and abroad. You will be encouraged to suggest new project ideas and will also vote on club matters. As a Rotarian, you will be ecouraged to wear a Rotary pin with pride, and will be welcome to attend any other Rotary club meeting around the world.

Hub Membership

Alternatively you can join the District Hub, the primary focus of which is:

  1. Recruitment of new members into Rotary
  2. Mentoring and guidance for new members
  3. Assisting new members in finding a suitable club for them to join
  4. Development of Collaboration and Networking between Clubs, Areas & Districts
  5. Provision of manpower, expertise and support to any club or project that requests it

By joining the Hub, you will get to know multiple clubs in your area and therefore the opportunity to support a wider range of projects/events in the district.

Get in touch

There's always something going on in Rotary that will be of interest to you.

You may be looking to volunteer an hour or two occasionally or on a more regular but informal basis.  Alternatively, you may have an idea for a community project or would like to become involved with Rotary's internatioal projects. Whatever your interest and amount of time available, please contact us at membership@rotary1070.org
