Rotary Youth Exchange

District 1070 Central England Youth Exchange

What are Youth Exchanges about?

Rotary Youth Exchange gives young people the opportunity to experience another culture first-hand, make new friendships and see the world from a different perspective.

Why do we run them?

We run exchanges because they build understanding, one young person at a time. They open minds, create global citizens and often introduce young people to Rotary for the very first time.

The impact

The video speaks for itself. What you'll see is the programme working exactly as it should: young people from different backgrounds finding common ground, building friendships and enjoying every moment of the experience.

What's next?

We're exploring the possibility of another exchange some time in the future. If your club is interested in becoming a partner, or simply helping us spread the word, please get in touch.

This is how the programme grows club by club, one exchange at a time.

The video at this link was made by the young people who took part in our recent cultural exchange during August 2027. They came to us, we welcomed them, and together we shared experiences across Central England.  The video captures what no report can - the friendships, the laughter and the personal growth that comes from stepping into another culture.
