Nigel Anderson

Born and raised in Wellingborough, I have remained local and that what makes me passionate and caring of where I come from. Married to Theresa with 2 grown up children and 5 grandchildren.

Leaving school at an early age to pursue a career in the printing industry, when apprenticeships were far more accessible. Achieving a City & Guilds set me on the road to achieving quite a lot in the industry as it went through technological changes. 

From there I had the opportunity to go into finance with TSB, dealing with customers and learning about how the financial sector worked. I remained in this sector until the Stock Market Crash in 2008! 

I then moved into education, which I still work in. I currently work at the Chester House Estate as a Learning Engagement Officer; we offer History & Geography workshops to school children which means that they get to learn about local history. 

I've been a Rotarian since 2018, was Club President in 2025 and currently chair the Music & Youth Committee for our Wellingborough club. I'm a Peace Advocate Accredited Facilitator and have been involved in the Peace Advocate Program since 2019, working closely with the D1070 team to expand the program to more schools in our District. My mission is to try and introduce the PAP into more schools with the help from Rotary Club members.
