The competition aims to encourage young people to be creative, develop skills in using traditional, contemporary media or demonstrate interpretation of the topic, and express personal ideas through a selected medium.
There are three stages of the competition, local area, District and National Final, with three age groups, Junior (7 – 10), Intermediate (11-13) & Senior (14 – 17).

Jessie's description of her work is -"My layered landscape features a glowing moon and decorative trees to express Happiness in Nature. I wanted to evoke a sense of calm and beauty found in the harmony of the natural world.
