Sandy has been a member of the Rotary since 1995, joining from his contacts at the Round Table at that time. During his time with Rotary he has done stints as a President and as Secretary, and is now on his second term as Treasurer.
Sandy's fitness for the job is never in doubt. He spent 38 years with the same accounting firm - after joining them initially for a two year stint - so he brings a wealth of experience in accounting.
Sandy specialised in tax and VAT as an accountant, and counts some illustrious clients during his career, from Rory Bremner, Malcolm Rifkind and Malcolm's father to many others. A good accountant never tells, so that's as far as we'll ever get on the ins and outs of others' fortunes.
Suffice to say, being a safe pair of hands is a perfect quality for being Leith Rotary's treasurer.
