Community, Vocational and Youth Service

How we make a difference

Leith Rotary supports local charities to help our community.

The Leith Rotary Charity of the Year 2024-25 is Citadel Youth Centre

Why this charity?

  • It has a well established record of serving young people and their families for over 30 years;
  • The Citadel leadership and team are experienced and have a strong vision for the organisation based on a deep understanding of local needs;
  • The Citadel works with young people 6-18 across their whole spectrum of needs, from play and leisure to skills, employability and wellbeing. They support young parents, and also involve the wider community in inter-generational work.

Leith Rotary is therefore confident there is a "big bang for the buck" from our support.

What does it mean to be charity of the year?

  • Leith Rotary will run some fundraising activity dedicated to this charity
  • We will raise awareness of the charity amongst members and Friends of the Rotary
  • We will lend a hand to any of the charity's own fundraising efforts during the year.

If you would like to support our efforts in aid of the Citadel, please contact secretaryleith@gmail.com.
