Local 

Our history as a port with international trading connections means that Leith has a proud tradition of welcome and an international outlook. Our community has welcomed many people coming here as new migrants building businesses and sharing their cultural heritage. We are proud to enable those fleeing war, persecution or devastation to create a new home here.

International

Through Rotary International we reach out to support people all over the world. We use our connections and experience to understand, offer friendship and respond to local needs wherever they occur.

Who we support

Polio Plus - the programme aims to eradicate polio, and empower those affected to sustain their livelihoods. In addition to donations, Leith Rotary members have visited local programmes in India and Pakistan, to learn more about how this international programme is achieving the vision.

Shelterbox - a practical response to natural disaster and conflict, providing shelter and basic survival essentials. Shelterbox can reach affected communities in a matter of days with a sophisticated logistics network backed by Rotary's international connections. Leith Rotary provides at least one box every year. Climate emergency, natural disaster and conflict affecting millions of people, Shelterbox always needs our support.
