6pm An Ethiopian Adventure - Margaret Allan

On Thursday 7th August our own Margaret Allan treated us to a very interesting presentation of her visits to Ethiopia. While visiting family she also got involved with International projects for our club. Here she can be seen on the left presenting a cheque on behalf of the club to BEKA.
Our International team have also helped purchase a loom for the ladies (pictured wearing one of the scarves) and also a much needed water tank.

During one of her trips Margaret also visited some the many UNESCO Rock Hewn Churches in Lalibela, the alleged home of the Ark of the Covenant in Axum and was welcomed into village celebrations though she herself chose not to witness a circumcision. (Consequently members were thankful there was no picture of that!)
