Rotary Club President Dean Christy presented a sponsorship cheque today to Sophie Gregory, the leader of the Dance Blast Leadership Skills Foundation Course. Seen in the photograph are Club President Dean, presenting the cheque to Sophie with fellow Rotarians Charles Harper and Robert Parker with the eight young people who attended the course. President Dean said he was delighted to be able to attend today to present the cheque and to talk to the young people about how they were learning about leadership skills through the medium of dance. This is the first of two courses being held over the winter months, which the Rotary Club is sponsoring in partnership with the Town Council.
Dance Blast is the community arts organisation for Monmouthshire and delivers a wide range of participatory events. Over the past 15 years the organisation has grown and developed and now delivers an annual programme of regular provision, special projects, school work plus and exciting Youth Development Programme.
