Rotary Foundation - Rotary's own charity

The Rotary Foundation stands at the forefront of humanitarian service, having supported thousands of projects to provide clean water, fight disease, promote peace, provide people with basic education and dedicated to eradicate Polio


Our Rotary Foundation was set up 100 years ago and was founded for the purpose of doing good in the world.  It is funded by donations from Rotary members, friends and fundraising activities.

 

 Our Rotary grants focus on:

  • Promoting Peace
  • Fighting Disease
  • Providing clean Water
  • Saving Mothers and Children
  • Supporting Education
  • Growing local Economies
  • Sustaining the Environment

 

Kingston Rotary Club has provided Foundation grants for Yorda playhouse - African Vision Malawi – Maze Mill and Empowering Girls in Education (Washrooms) Kids for Kids Goat loan scheme (see more)

 

Rotary Foundation also supports The Eradication of Polio

Since 1988 Rotary International and their partners have been on a mission to eradicate Polio throughout the world. At that time there were 350,000 cases in 125 countries and today, thanks to the tireless work of Rotary members, our partners and volunteers only two countries remain where Polio is endemic.  (see more)

Kingston Rotary Club has hosted scholars from Japan, Korea and the U.S
