Community Activities

We talk to local community groups, small charities, religious groups, schools and businesses to research local needs (often inviting representatives of community groups or charities to Zoom Club meetings to find out more), Together we talk to people, understand what people need from their community and provide projects and support that works for them.

We provide the community, especially smaller organisations, with:

• donations (ranging from £250 to £2,000 each)
• support in kind, e.g. by providing toys, socks and Christmas gifts, and offer volunteer assistance, e.g.  by making items for sale and volunteering at foodbanks.
• hands-on support with environmental projects.
• celebration and recognition of adults who have achieved despite personal difficulties. 
• fundraising by holding competitions, selling handmade items at local street markets, growing and selling large quantities of plants
• a Kid'sOut day for disabled and disadvantages children.

Kingston Rotary Club has, in recent years, been the recipient of two business awards for services to the community and commitment to education and skills. We focus on local Kingston projects that are aimed at supporting and making a difference to a wide variety of organisations and individuals within the Borough.

Kingston Rotary aims to increase the environmental awareness of its members and promote environmental protection to the community and find more ways to bring about positive change in the world.
