Black Cherry Fair

The Black Cherry Fair is an event that has been held in Chertsey traditionally on the second Saturday in July for hundreds of years! The first Chertsey Fair being held at St. Anns Hill as far back as 1440. It is now organised by the Rotary Club of Chertsey. The fair is attended by approximately 15000 people from all over the country.

We can’t be outside this year – but we’re still here for our local community!
In line with government social distancing guidelines and the potential risks still associated with large gatherings, the Black Cherry team has, after careful consideration, taken the decision to postpone this years’ Black Cherry Fair. We know how much the fair means to both the local community and to those small local charities and good causes that use the fair to raise much needed funds. The Black Cherry Fair team is therefore working hard to ensure that next years’ fair is bigger and better than ever, and we very much look forward to welcoming everyone back to Abbey Field in July 2021.
This year, we will still be lsupporting our local community and trying to help local charities raise some much-needed funds. The community has a chance to win some cash prizes through our online competitions during July, we will provide links to videos of our entertainers and links to our many specialist local community stallholders’ websites.
