We had a vibrant presentation from Margie who presented the work of this charity and what they have achieved since its foundation in 1952. After 10 years of research they developed a Polio vaccine and have subsequently grown and diversified in many areas principally to help young children. They have awarded 173 fellowships in the past 40 years to promote research in many areas of medicine and rare diseases. This research is starting to show good results and new treatments.
