The Rotary Club of Kensington and Chelsea partnered with a Bangladesh NGO (The Southern Charity Foundation and a US 501 C3 Non Profit (The Sadqua Sisters ) to execute several ambitious Projects In Bangladesh, to alleviate the suffering of locals and refugees from Myanmar along the Coastal section of Cox’s bazaar and other small villages. A member of our club provided oversight.
About 20 large water filtration tanks were distributed to provide fresh water for residents
2 Permanent homes were built for large families living in abject conditions after checking prices of local shelter boxes. The community is having a prayer session to thank the Rotary Club
A large cow was slaughtered and small packages of beef were distributed to a large community living on a basic carb diet, to promote a healthy protein alternative for mothers and children.
Two boats were given to widowed women to provide fishing opportunity and a livelihood source for several families
