Get Involved - Have Fun and Make a Difference with Rotary!

Rotary membership is more than just club participation —  it’s an opportunity to create meaningful change in your community and beyond. Whether you're looking to give back, develop new skills, or build lifelong friendships, Rotary provides a unique platform for service, leadership, and personal growth.

By joining the Sidcup Rotary Club, you’ll be part of a global movement dedicated to tackling local and international challenges. Discover how you can contribute, connect, and grow with us.

What is Rotary:

Rotary holds a unique position, being deeply rooted in our local communities while maintaining a global outlook, ready to tackle challenges both at home and abroad.

By joining your local Rotary Club, you become part of a global network of 35,000 clubs across 200 countries. Our 1.4 million members are neighbours, friends, and problem-solvers, making a difference in their communities.

Founded in 1905 by Chicago attorney Paul Harris, Rotary was created to bring professionals from diverse backgrounds together to exchange ideas and build meaningful, lifelong friendships. Over time, this extended to humanitarian service, addressing challenges both locally and worldwide.

Who Can Join:

We welcome adults who want to give back to their communities.

How Do I Join:

If you’re interested in joining the Sidcup Rotary Club, please email us at rotarysidcup@gmail.com.

We will initially invite you to an evening meeting, where you can meet the members and see if Rotary membership would suit you.

What Are the Benefits:

Rotary brings people from all walks of life together, benefiting not only our communities but also our members.

Social Networking:
Rotary is a fantastic way to expand your social circles, meet new people, and build lasting friendships—all while having fun and making a difference.

We meet formally twice a month in the evenings, but members can also participate in various social and fundraising activities. These include weekends away for our annual President’s Weekend and visits to our twinning clubs in Sweden and the Netherlands. Additionally, other social activities are organised, such as walks, quizzes, and pétanque, to name a few.

Being a Rotary member also allows you to support the community by working alongside other local organisations.

Develop Your Skills:
Share your personal and vocational skills by joining one of the Club’s sub-committees and taking part in projects and community support activities.

Enhance Your Understanding:
Guest speakers at club, local, district, and national events help broaden your global perspective.

Supporting Leading Organisations:

Rotary’s strong reputation has enabled us to establish partnerships with leading national and international charities, putting us at the forefront of change.
