President Paul Davidson welcomes you to our website

Thank you for your interest in our club. As you explore our website, I hope you discover the many ways Rotary members combine friendship, fun and community service to make a positive impact.

Rotary is full of people who enjoy spending time together while making a lasting difference in our local communities.

You may see us around Sidcup supporting our community through activities such as:

• Santa with his sleigh chatting to families and bringing Christmas cheer while raising money for those who need support;
• helping to keep Sidcup clean through our community litter-picking activities;
• supporting the Poppy Appeal and other good causes;
• providing free “Message in a Bottle” packs to help vulnerable residents and their families.

You may also have visited our monthly Repair Café, where volunteers use their skills to repair household items free of charge, while visitors enjoy a chat over tea and cake.

Alongside supporting local and international charities, we enjoy spending time together through social events, walks, meetings and activities such as a friendly game of pétanque. We also work with other Rotary clubs, local organisations and businesses to strengthen our community connections.

In a world where much of the news can feel challenging, I value the friendship and positivity that Rotary brings – whether through our regular Wednesday meetings at Chislehurst Golf Club or through the practical help we provide within our community.

Who can join Rotary?

Sidcup Rotary Club welcomes anyone who is interested in sharing ideas and making a positive contribution to the local community, while making new lasting friendships.

We are a non-political organisation that prides itself on being friendly, welcoming and open to new ideas. Our members come from a wide range of backgrounds, but we share a common desire to support others, enjoy friendship and make things happen.

What matters most is that you get involved with our activities, enjoying working with others to make a difference.

What does Rotary involve?

Members are encouraged to get involved in the areas that interest them, whether through committees, events or community projects. You can find out more about the impact of our work in the What we do section.

We enjoy regular Wednesday meetings, combining friendship and social interaction with opportunities to support our community. Our meetings often include interesting speakers who share insights into their work, hobbies or charitable activities.

Our Benevolent Trust supports deserving causes, with donations carefully considered and approved by club members.

Supporting our community
We work with many local organisations, as well as with Rotary clubs around the world. Our members also support a variety of community initiatives, using their skills and experience to help others.

Our fundraising activities aim to be enjoyable for all involved, such as the Christmas collections, quiz nights, charity meals, Help for Heroes collections and other events, with proceeds supporting charities selected by the club.
