As we approach the end of our Rotary year, here’s a look at what we’ve done so far in 2025-26:

• Receipts from our October Casino Night enabled us to donate £1500 to the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People and our Tree of Life raised some £3000 for the Doddie Weir Foundation to support research into Motor Neurone Disease.
• In December the Pentland Community Chest, which we run with Balerno Village Trust, made grants to ten local charities and local projects.
• We supported the two foodbanks in our area. 
• We worked with the Pentlands Ukrainian Support Group and with a project to support children in orphanages in Ukraine.
• We supported ShelterBox, providing help for families made homeless in disaster areas across the world.
• And we organised the local annual Primary Schools Quiz and the local Young Musicians competition.
