Pianist Ellie Ho and vocalist Lily McRae, both pupils at Balerno High School, were selected to go forward to the District Final of the annual Rotary Young Musician competition, held at Glasgow’s Royal Conservatoire of Scotland on 15 February.

There were 14 instrumentalists and 8 vocalists. There were some truly exceptional performances and the Adjudicators were full of praise for all the competitors. Ellie and Lily may not have been the winners on this occasion but they can both be proud of their performances at this prestigious venue, as were their parents, their school and, of course, Currie Balerno Rotary.
