ROTARY SUPPORT FOR BALERNO HIGH SCHOOL
Following a meeting with Ros Ranger, Head Teacher at Balerno High School, Currie Balerno Rotary worked with pupils to arrange the delivery of food and a variety of other items to Community for Food, who support families with children attending local schools. The donations were gratefully received by Val Reid on behalf of Community for Food. This was a great initiative by the pupils of Balerno High School, who had the idea and made it happen, gathering in contributions and arranging, with help from Rotary, delivery to Community for Food in time for Christmas.
The picture shows Percy Farren (Currie Balero Rotary), Val Reid (Community for Food) and Head Teacher Ros Ranger with two of the participating pupils and, of course, in pride of place the bags of food etc ready to go.
