Every year Currie Balerno Rotary invites local people to sponsor lights on the Tree of Life in memory of loved ones or to mark special events. We and the charities who benefit are truly grateful for the response ftrom the local community.
It has been customary for us to use the sponsorship donations to support local charities and local community projects. Receipts from the 2024 Tree of Life, however, were dedicated to a Marie Curie appeal and a cheque for £2200 was presented to the Marie Curie hospice in Fairmilehead and the main beneficiary of the 2025 Tree of Life was the My Name’s Doddie (MND) Foundation, raising £2500 to assist with research into Motor Neurone Disease.
We are proud to maintain this annual event and proud to be part of the local community which supports it each year.
Details of how to donate will be given here later in 2026.
