Water of Leith Spring Clean

Litter pick with other local Rotary Clubs

THE WATER OF LEITH SPRING CLEAN

Last month I wrote of the planned “Mother of all Community Spring Clear Ups” on the Water of Leith. This month I can report that it went well on a dry and clear day.

Volunteers met at the Water of Leith Conservation Centre on Sunday, 14 April and they included Rotary members from across Edinburgh. Currie Balerno Rotary was well represented and Percy Farren and Jim West are shown here with members from the Braids Rotary Clubs as they take a breather while Roy Stirrat gets on with the work.

The day was a great success, helped of course by the weather and the Water of Leith looks better for it – for now!
