Louise told us it had been a frustrating year with no competitions for juniors like her. However she had done a bit of outdoor climbing and had built a climbing wall in her garage.
She had been invited to a senior competition in Hull and had qualified for the final and come 4th. When lockdown finishes she will go for training in various places. She would also go for training with the GB team in Sheffield.
She shared plans for the future which may not take place. She had hopes of being a member of the GB team for the Olympics in 2024.
Ewan thanked the club for its support.
He went on to describe the items of apparatus he used. For competitions he had to make a routine. Various marks are given depending on the degree of difficulty.
He does quite a bit of training with a number of friends and has hopes to qualify for Scottish team for the Commonwealth games, though not many places are available. There will be a number of championships next year.
Ewan finished by showing two videos of him performing which looked remarkable.
Following some questions a vote of thanks was given to both Louise and Ewan by Ken Lindsay.
