Set up by Currie Balerno Rotary in 2016 but now jointly managed with Balerno Village Trust

WHAT IT IS

Currie Balerno Rotary set up the Community Chest in 2016 and was joined in 2017 by Balerno Village Trust in funding and administering the Chest jointly, supported financially from 2017 to 2022 by Cala Homes. The Community Chest provides grants to local organisations towards projects which benefit the local community.

We are committed to our local community and want to build on the contribution we already make locally. Our Community Chest initiative is a way of doing just that.

Applications for this community grants scheme are invited from schools, social clubs, sports clubs etc and we would like to see these resources spread across as many projects as possible. All applications must show the benefit of the project to the community.
