Fellowship/Social Evening

President John was delighted to present Certificates of Appreciation to Club members who had given valuable service to Chest, Heart & Stroke Scotland in the past year (see images above)

Webmaster Ian then screened an interview with the Club's Chair of PR & Communications Roy answering several questions about our use of IT in general and our website, facebook page and Twitter presence in particular. Part of this included a showing of Rotary International's 'Social media' video on YouTube (Click Here to view) At the President's request, a simple way to view our facebook and Twitter pages was also demonstrated.

A very good Rotary GB&I video 'Make a World of a Difference' was also shown - it may be a useful tool in our new/potential member process.

The Club's Vote of Thanks was given by Rotarian Mike R who accepted that we all needed to become much more conversant with social media and take on board our web presence even if we are currently unfamiliar with the facilities.
