FUNDRAISING

Rotary Club of Bromley Borough raises funds through a variety of activities and events. These help us support mainly local charities, but we also support national and international good causes. We try and give as much 'hands-on' help that we can locally.

We aim to raise at least £15,000 each year by organising Fundraising events.

Some of these events are used to raise money to generally support deserving causes, both locally and elsewhere. For example, our Christmas Sleigh Collections.

Whilst others are targeted to raise money for a specfic cause or charity. For example, selling Royal British Legion poppies.

We also reserve some funds to help in an emergency with international disasters. For example, to buy ShelterBoxes to support families around the world who have lost their homes to disaster or conflict.

You can see what we have been doing recently on the panels to the right.

As you would expect, we scrutinise all applications for support very carefully before allocating any funds.

Also, if we donate money abroad, we always do so through a local Rotary club or through contacts made by individual Rotarians, so that none of your donated money is 'siphoned off' inappropriately.
