Rotary members are men and women who work together to create lasting change by promoting integrity, advancing world understanding, goodwill, and peace.
Their causes include:
- Peace
- Fighting disease
- Providing clean water, sanitation, and hygiene
- Saving mothers and children
- Supporting education
- Growing local economies
- Protecting the environment
- Fighting illiteracy and poverty
Rotary has over 46,000 member clubs worldwide, with 35,000 members in over 1,500 clubs in Great Britain and Ireland.
Rotary members are non-political and non-religious.
