Everyone is warmly invited to Rotary's 'The Big Lunch' on Sunday 2nd June 2019
This year will be the 7th year of The Big Lunch and it is shaping up to be better than ever. It’s the perfect time to have some fun with your neighbours and build on Sturminster Newton’s community spirit without spending a single penny.
You can be a part of this year’s celebrations by leaving your purses at home and coming along to the Railway Gardens in Sturminster Newton on Sunday 2nd June 12pm – 4pm, hosted by the Sturminster Newton Rotary Club.
There will be lots of familiar and free activities for children including face painting, a treasure hunt, coconut shy, splat the rat and everyone’s favourite attraction, Camilla the Cow, will also be returning.
Tea, coffee and squash will be available free of charge, and the Rotary Club will be giving away free ice-cream from their fantastic ice cream cart!
In 2017, 9.3 million people took part in the Big Lunch across Britain, and nearly 90% of them said it made them feel better about their neighbourhood. So grab your picnic and we'll see you there!
