'The Big Difference'
I graduated from Leicester with a degree in Chemistry and went on to do an MSc in Bicolloid Chemistry at UEA and a PhD in Biochemical Engineering at Bath after which I did a Post doc in Biochemistry for 10 years at Southampton uni.
As I did this I also got involved in Property Investments, but knew that this was not going to be what I did for the rest of my life.
I became a Christian and worked as a volunteer and helped set up the Big Breakfast at Above Bar Church which served the homeless community every Thursday and has done for the last 12 years.
However, the pandemic changed the way we had to operate and I set up The Big Difference which now helps redistribute food to over 40 communities and 30 schools.
I have realised that working together as a community and having networks with organisations such as Fareshare, UK Harvest, Southampton Magna Rotary Club and many other organisations, we can make a huge difference to the vulnerable suffering in our city.
